Uninsured people on the Central Coast got free eye exams and glasses Tuesday and Wednesday.
The San Luis Obispo Noor Clinic offered an free eye care clinic for San Luis Obispo residents. The exams were on a state-of-the-art 45-foot mobile clinic. The clinic was in the Sierra Vista Hospital parking lot.
In San Luis Obispo County, 28 percent of people are below the income poverty level, and 23 percent don't have health insurance. Nearly $160,000,000 dollars have been donated to more than 850,000 adults in need of health care.
