Giddy-up round up in Santa Margarita this weekend

It's all things cowboy at the Santa Margarita Ranch this weekend. The "Giddy Up Round Up" happens Sunday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event brings together vendor booths, interactive exhibits, an entertainment line-up and contests.

Focusing on historic and agricultural activities, Giddy Up Round Up includes live entertainment throughout the day, such as a working ranch dog demonstration, a live performance by the Bucket Busters, a 5-year-old and under stick-horse race (with a belt buckle prize) and a dummy roping contest (also with a belt buckle prize).

The Pacific Coast Railroad narrow gauge steam engine (with original Disney passenger cars) will be giving rides throughout the day.

Tickets are available at the door for $5 per person or $20 per family. Parking is free. It is $10 per person for an unlimited train ride wrist band. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Complimentary gift bags will be provided to the first 500 children to arrive.
