Hannah Gilbert was too much of a presence on both ends of the court for the Bearcats. The Morro Bay High senior outscored Paso Robles on her own in the Pirates' 57-19 win over visiting Paso Robles.

The Pirates, who are the defending Los Padres League champions, improved to 4-2. They open their title defense next week at home against Nipomo. The Bearcats fell to 4-5.

Gilbert scored 10 points in the second quarter and had 16 of her game-high 22 points in the first half. The Cal Poly recruit added 11 rebounds.

Molly Donovan led the Bearcats with 11 points. The senior scored all six of the Bearcats' points in the first half as Paso Robles found itself down 29-6 at intermission.

The Bearcats return to action in the new year when they open Pac 7 League play at home against Pioneer Valley on January 4.
