Girl Scout Troop 50149 made some donations to the mission hope cancer center Thursday.
The scouts presented money, Girl Scout cookies and breast cancer awareness pins made by the girls.
They were inspired by the troop's co-leader who has been battling breast cancer.
"One of our troop leaders just got diagnosed with breast cancer so we decided that we would like to donate money and cookies to the Marian Hope Cancer Center," said Girl Scout Marysa Heredia.
It was the Girl Scout's idea to make the donation to the cancer center.
