If you live in San Luis Obispo County and you hear a strange siren in the distance, don't worry it's all a test. It's time for San Luis Obispo County's quarterly growl test of the early warning system.
Sirens will run for about 20 seconds tomorrow and Wednesday, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. In the event of an actual emergency the alarms will sound much louder, and go on for several minutes.
