Hasay is Academic All-American of the Year

Jordan Hasay has been named the Academic All-American of the Year for Division I Women's track and field and cross country. It's the second time she has won the award, she also was named top student-athlete in the country as a sophomore in 2011. It's her third time being named to the Academic All American team.

Hasay, a senior middle distance runner had a 3.87 G.P.A. majoring in business administration. A native of Arroyo Grande, Hasay went to Mission Prep High School. She is the most decorated runner in University of Oregon history with 18 combined All-America awards, two national titles and four Pac-12 championships.

As a senior, Hasay helped the Ducks to NCAA championships in both cross country and indoor track, along with a Pac-12 outdoor title. Individually, Hasay placed third at the 2012 NCAA Cross Country championship meet. At the 2013 NCAA Indoor National Championships, she finished second in the 3,000 meters and fourth in the 5,000 meters. At the 2013 NCAA Outdoor championship, Hasay finished third in the 5,000.

Hasay is pursuing a professional career now in the 10,000 meters.
