Riding bikes causes more serious head injuries each year than playing football or baseball.
The American Association of Neurological Surgeons say 68,000 sports related injuries were due to bikes in 2009. That's 40,000 more injuries than football or baseball.
Cycling was the leading cause of head injuries among kids under age 14. Experts say bikers have a high risk for colliding with cars, and they don't always wear helmets.
