A new study reveals only 11% of children that have been treated for biking injuries in Los Angeles County were actually wearing helmets when they were injured.
That happened despite a California State Mandate that requires bike helmets for all kids under 18.
Researchers say minority children over the age of 12 who come from low income families are the least likely to wear a bike helmet.
