A large, long period westerly swell will produce high surf conditions along the Central Coast through 9 a.m. Monday. The high surf will peak this evening at 10-12 feet, with local sets up to 14 feet. The largest surf will occur on west and northwest facing beaches. The potential impacts are dangerous rip currents, strong sneaker waves, minor coastal flooding and beach erosion. The National Weather Service is advising people to stay out of the water, never turn your back on the ocean and avoid flooded areas near the beach.
