Some beaches on the Central Coast may see extremely high surf this coming week.
The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management said beginning Tuesday, beaches facing southwest could see waves as high as 15 feet. These waves could have the potential for the highest surf in recent years.
Tropical Storm Lowell and Hurricane Marie are to thank for the high surf that could cause structure damage and beach erosion.
The waves will most likely be highest in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, but the Santa Barbara South Coast could also be affected.
Officials said to be cautious of strong rip currents and sneaker waves.
The high surf is expected through Friday.
