Holliday drops 41 to edge Walker and Righetti at Christmas Classic

Campbell Hall's Aaron Holliday won the battle of super sophomores by leading the Vikings to a 78-74 come-from-behind win over Cameron Walker and Righetti on Saturday during the final day of the Mission Prep Christmas Classic.

The 6-0 Holliday scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to help the Vikings erase a 55-54 deficit after three quarters. Holliday, the younger brother of former Classic Most Valuable Players Jrue and Justin Holliday, finished with game-high 41 points.

Walker, a 6-6 sophomore forward, led the Warriors with 30 points. He finished the tournament averaging 26.75 points per game.

Marcus McMorris added 17 points for the Warriors, while Viking sophomore guard Kahlil Simplis added 19.

Holliday is getting looks already from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Gonzaga, UCLA and USC. Walker has received interest from UC Irvine, UCLA, Cal Poly, USC, Stanford and Harvard.

The Warriors finished the Classic 0-4.
