It's the Chemistry of Cocktails in Grover Beach this weekend

It's a place kids like to hang out, but adults will be flocking there this weekend to learn about the chemistry of cocktails. The Exploration Station in Grover Beach is hosting a special fundraiser event where chemistry and cocktails collide this Sunday, November 4th, from 2 - 5 pm.

It's an afternoon of food, live music, activities, and cocktail tastings. Local mixologists from the area's top restaurants and social gathering places will compete in a bartending competition, featuring an original cocktail concoction of their design. Local celebrity judges will be on hand to announce the top three cocktails judged by taste, originality and cutting edge molecular mixology techniques. A crowd favorite will also be awarded.

Tickets for this, over 21 only, event are $40 and can be purchased by calling 473-1421 or online at www.chemistryofcocktails.com. All proceeds will benefit the Exploration Station's science, technology, engineering, and math educational programs which continue to create a culture of learning for people of all ages.

The Exploration Station is located at 867 Ramona Avenue in Grover Beach. 805-473-1421
