Knights win Las Vegas Invitational

The St. Joseph boys basketball team went a perfect 4-0 at the Las Vegas Invitational. The Knights beat Buckley (CA) on Saturday night, 58-49 for the championship. It was the third straight year St. Joseph has won the tournament. It was the Knights third tournament of the season, St. Joseph lost in the finals of its previous two tournaments.

Senior guard Case Bruton was the Knights leading scorer on Saturday with 21. Senior point guard Isaac Murillo was named tournament most valuable player.

The 11-3 Knights return to Pac-7 play on Monday when they host rival Righetti. St. Joseph is 1-0 in league play while the Warriors are off to a 2-0 start in the Pac-7.
