Kreighoff Named Big West Offensive Player of the Year

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Big West has named Cal Poly's sophomore forward Elise Krieghoff the Big West Offensive Player of the Year.

Kreighoff is the first ever Mustang to receive the honor. She also was named to the All-Big West first team, after winning Freshman of the Year honors in 2012.

In 18 matches this season, Kreighoff had 21 goals and 45 points, making her Cal Poly's all-time single-season leader in both categories. As a sophomore, she's just four goals shy of the Big West single-season goal record.

Kreighoff and the Mustangs will face Cal State Fullerton Thursday at 7:35 p.m. on the Titan's homefield.

Cal Poly won the last match between the two programs 1-0, with Kreighoff scoring the only goal in the match.
