Kristen Wiig returns to "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, where she'll be making the adjustment from cast member to host.
Wiig left "SNL" at the end of last season after a seven year run that brought her four Emmy nominations.
As other SNL alums have shown, leaving the late night nest does not mean leaving the family.
"All of your friends are there, and everyone that I love and this does feel like home to me," Wiig says, "but it's in a different capacity, so it's...a different hat I'm wearing."
But it's one that should fit even better than it does for the average first time host.
"I kind of know the schedule and I know the drill," Wiig says, "and I know that I needed to have slept a lot before I got here, because I won't be sleeping much this week. But that's part of it. That's part of the fun."
The rest of the fun comes Saturday night.
