ATASCADERO, Calif. - Atascadero Senior Robbie Berwick has an important decision to make regarding where he will spend his college career, but for now he is just focused on winning the CIF title.
"Coming into this year I just felt more mature, stronger," Berwick said. "I've felt like my arm has gotten stronger. I think the progressions I've made have been big, but it's a lot to do with the coaching staff. It has a lot to do with our team ."
In football, Berwick has his Greyhounds at the top of the PAC-7, and in basketball he plays point guard for possibly one of the best high school teams in Central California.
Berwick said that his top five choices for schools to play basketball at would be Fresno State, UTEP, Stanford, Florida State, and then Colorado State, respectively.
Despite more attention from schools to play basketball, Berwick said he isn't narrowing his options just yet. "I wouldn't say I'm leaning," Berwick said. "I'm thinking more basketball because I have more offers. If some big time schools come, I'll consider it and I'll sit down with my family to see what I want to do."
Berwick has some difficult decisions to make in the upcoming months, but as of now, he is simply a determined athlete focused on winning.
"Everything I do I want to win," Berwick said. "If I want to play football in college, I won't be afraid to do it and I know that after this season, people will know that the kid from Atascadero can play quarterback."
