A local llama was on the lam and apparently all because she was lonely.
Camille drew attention from the Paso Robles police and local citizens as she took to the streets Tuesday. Winding several miles from the north end of town to about mid-town local do-gooders were able to stop her from running down busy Spring Street which was packed with people and cars at mid-day.
Instead, Camille ran down Oak Street and right past the window of KSBY Meteorologist Dave Hovde who ran outside and captured the rest of the llama-drama with his iPhone.
Not only was the llama captured, but it happened to be caught right in front of Paul Lamas home (one 'l', no relation) who said the chances of that were about 0%.
Camille's owner Jackie Sauer said dogs had recently killed Camille's companions and she likely got out today because she was forlorn.
Sauer said today's chase has motivated her to find a companion for the two-year old llama soon.
