The Atascadero Police Department tells KSBY News the lockdown at the Santa Rosa Academic Academy has been lifted.
The lockdown ended at about 10:15a.m. Thursday. The school called the lockdown after officials there heard reports of gunshots near the school. Police officers confirm shots were fired in that area, but they have not found any suspects or anyone who may have been hurt by gunfire.
Marchant Ave. and Portola Rd. remain closed for investigation, but the police department has not said whether its officers are still searching for a suspect in the case.
