Lompoc High football star Ainuu Taua is once again recognized as one of the nation's top recruits in the class of 2014. Recently, Scout released its list of the top 300 juniors in the nation. Taua made the list at 107. The 6-1, 270 pound junior is the seventh-highest defensive tackle in the nation according to the list.

Taua recorded 49 tackles, 7 sacks and returned 1 interception for a touchdown for the Braves during his junior season. He earned All-League, All-CIF and All-State honors.

Taua has received nearly ten Division I scholarship offers most recently from Ole Miss. Other schools that have extended offers to Taua include UCLA, Washington and Cal.

Lompoc head coach Andrew Jones said Taua was just named the defensive line MVP at a Nike Camp in Redondo Beach this weekend. Taua also received an invitation to a prestigious camp in Oregon in July.
