Lompoc Veterans organization hoping for $25K paycheck from Home Depot

The Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building Foundation, a Lompoc nonprofit that supports local veterans, is one of four organizations across the country competing in The Home Depot Foundation's Aprons in Action contest.

The contest began today, and the winner will receive a $25,000 gift card from The Home Depot. "If we win the $25,000 from The Home Depot, we will be able to upgrade the Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building Auditorium and continue to serve veterans in our area. So help us make a difference by voting everyday on Facebook, and tell everyone you know to do the same!" said Alice Milligan, president of Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building Foundation.

Voting continues through Feb. 28th. The organization that receives the most votes during the month will not only win the $25,000 prize but will have the opportunity to compete for the grand prize of $250,000 at the end of the year-long program. The runner-up organizations will receive $5,000 in The Home Depot gift cards.

In the February round of the competition, Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building Foundation is competing against three other veteran-focused organizations across the country in Michigan, Florida, and Kentucky. To cast your vote, visit the facebook page by clicking here.
