Low pressure and onshore flow keep us cool into the weekend

Good morning! There's a trough of low pressure off the coast that's spurring onshore flow and encouraging some coastal clouds and fog this morning. Those conditions will hang with us into the weekend, keeping us cooler than normal for this time of year.

Late in the weekend, we'll see an about-face as a strengthening upper level ridge of high pressure in the south central states pushes westward. That will urge the mercury higher beginning late Sunday and into at least Tuesday.

Here's a look at today's high temperatures:

Cambria-61
Atascadero-80
Morro Bay-58
San Luis Obispo-75
Pismo beach-61
