LPL Boys Basketball: Cabrillo stays perfect, Templeton and Morro Bay also win

The Cabrillo boys basketball team stayed undefeated in Los Padres League action with a 51-42 win at Santa Ynez. The Conquistadores are now 7-0 in league and 13-8 overall. The Pirates fell to 1-6 in league and 5-12 for the year. Chad Brodhead led Cabrillo with 16 points and Michael Woodard added 12.
Andy Garretson poured in 15 points to lead the Templeton boys to a 53-41 road win at Lompoc. The Eagles are now 4-3 in league and 10-9 overall. Clark Burton added 11 points for Templeton. The Braves fell to 4-3 in league and into a tie with the Eagles.
The Morro Bay boys pulled out a 64-53 home win over Nipomo Wednesday. Luke Munds led the Pirates with 23 and Elijah Lampley poured in 21. Kaileb Mendez led the Titans with 13. The Pirates are now 3-4 in league and 8-13 overall. The Titans are 0-7 in league and 1-20 on the season. The Pirates sealed the win by going 27 for 35 from the free throw line.
Cabrillo hosts Morro Bay, Templeton plays at Santa Maria and Nipomo battles Santa Ynez on Friday.
