A man and his three-year old son were injured Thursday when a car crashed into a gazebo outside the El Rancho Market on Mission Drive in Santa Ynez.
It happened at around 10:00 am.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says a woman in her 70s was driving the car. She and her husband, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were not hurt.
Fire officials say the little boy was trapped beneath the car, but his father was able to pull him out. The two were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol says the driver stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake when pulling into a parking space.
