Man holding hostages inside NorCal restaurant

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Sacramento media outlets are reporting that an armed man is holding people hostage inside a fast food restaurant.

Sacramento police Officer Doug Morse told Sacramento television station News10 (http://on.news10.net/RihcQn ) the incident started around 1 p.m. Saturday as an armed robbery of a Jack in the Box restaurant.

The station says the man is holding five people hostage. Some nearby businesses have been evacuated, while some others have been locked down.

A call to Sacramento police seeking additional information was not immediately returned.
