Some dogs were dressing up and getting in on the holiday fun on Sunday.

A pancake breakfast and Santa's Doggie Parade took place near Avila Beach Sunday afternoon as part of the two-day winter holiday there.

Organizers expected more than 40 of man's best friend to take part, and say they come from as far away as Fresno and Bakersfield.

The parade started at the tile circle and went down to the basketball court.

Radio host Adam Montiel was the grand marshall, and enjoyed the parade with his dog.

The parade is sponsored by the Avila Beach Civic Association.
