Mary Kate Evans scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Atascadero girls basketball team into the championship game of its own Ruth Doser Tournament on Friday. The Greyhounds outscored Palo Alto 13-2 in the fourth quarter to come from behind to win 40-37.
Evans, who signed a national letter of intent to Cal Poly earlier this month, added 5 rebounds.
Atascadero plays Garces in the title game on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Garces routed Templeton 72-35 in the semifinals on Friday.
Templeton plays Palo Alto in the third place game at 1pm.
