Memorial service, scholarship fund set up to honor Alex Maier

San Luis Obispo High administrators have set up two ways for the Central Coast to honor the memory of Alex Maier. The 17 year old soccer player passed away on Wednesday night from injuries he suffered in Monday's car accident.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, February 2 at 2pm. The public is invited to attend to celebrate the life of Maier. It will take place at the Holt Field Stadium on campus.
The Alex Maier Memorial Fund has also been set up to help fund scholarships for graduating seniors. Donations will be accepted on Friday when San Luis Obispo High hosts five sporting events against Paso Robles. There will be no admission charge at the soccer or basketball games, but donations will be accepted.
