Two Mission Prep football players were named to the All-State Team for Small Schools by Cal-Hi Sports on Thursday.
The Royals are coming off a 12-2 season where they finished runner-up in the CIF Northeast Division. Mission is one of six teams in California to land multiple players on the 34th annual All-State team.
Defensive lineman Andrew Da Rosa was named to the First Team Defense. The 6-2, 275 pound senior ranked second on the team with 84 tackles and 6 sacks. He recorded an impressive 16 quarterback hurries, forced 7 fumbles, blocked 2 kicks and recovered 4 fumbles for the Royals.
Quarterback Tyler Baty earned a spot on the Second Team Offense. The senior put up impressive numbers by competing 60 percent of his passes, throwing for 2,979 yards and 45 touchdown passes with just 7 interceptions. Baty finished his career as San Luis Obispo County's leader in most career touchdown passes with 92.
The Small Schools Team included schools that played at the Division IV or Division V levels.
Arroyo Grande High kicker Cole Ramey earned a spot on the All-State Sophomores' First Team, while Lompoc defensive end Ainuu Taua was named to the All-State Juniors' First Team.
