Mission's Joey Hall catches opportunity with DIII's Middlebury

Mission Prep wide receiver Joey Hall has caught an opportunity to continue his football career at the next level. The 5-9, 165 Hall has committed to play at Middlebury College, a Division III school in Middlebury, Vermont.

Hall earned All-CIF and All-State honors after a stellar senior year. Hall caught 60 passes for 1,365 yards and 24 touchdown catches. He also returned 2 kicks for touchdowns. In three varsity seasons, Hall finished with 134 receptions, 2,606 receiving yards, 44 touchdown catches and 49 total touchdowns.

The Middlebury Panthers went 7-1 last fall and finished second in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. In twelve season as the head coach, Bob Ritter has a 55-39 overall record.

Middlebury was founded in 1800 and is considered one of the top liberal arts schools in the nation. Former White House spokesman Ari Fleisher is a Middlebury graduate.

Hall joins his teammates Andrew DeSesa (Brown) and Michael Cardwell (Missouri Science and Technology) as members of Mission's Class of 2013, who earned football scholarships. Tyler Baty and Andrew DeRosa could push that total to five in the coming weeks.
