A mobile health clinic is now helping local high school students.
The CHC Community Health Outreach Program or CHOP provides basic medical services twice a month at the Delta High School campus in Santa Maria.
It began operating about a month ago and more than 30 students have been examined.
The mobile unit is helping fill the gap for campus medical services. The site does not have a nurse technician like the rest of the high schools within the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District because of its small size and student population.
