Morgan likely to miss next season because of knee surgery

Cal Poly basketball player Reese Morgan was the Mustangs top scorer during a stretch of his redshirt freshman season but the shooting guard faded down the stretch. Morgan's quickness and agility were noticeably hampered by a knee injury. On Friday head coach Joe Callero tweeted: "Reese Morgan will be at banquet tonight however, he will miss all of next season with another knee surgery on June 24th."

Morgan was forced to redshirt his first year at Cal Poly after knee surgery on the same knee. He also had knee surgery on the knee during his junior year of high school.

Morgan played in all 32 games for Cal Poly, averaging 5.9 points per game. He only scored four points total in the Mustangs three postseason games. As a senior at Peninsula High School Morgan averaged 27.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
