A new app for the iPhone helps cancer patients and survivors use nutrition to improve their health.
Dieticians at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute created the app. It provides recipes and tips for people going through cancer treatment or those who are in recovery.
Users can search recipes based on their specific disease type, or symptoms they are experiencing, like nausea or mouth sores.
Several studies have shown a healthy diet doesn't only lower your risk for developing cancer, it can help people stricken with the disease improve their outcome.
The recipes can also be used by people looking for new, healthy meal options and isn't exclusive to cancer patients.
