Nearly a third of children with Autism may show signs of ADHD.
The new finding from researchers at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore is in line with previous research in this area. The doctors found that 29% of Autistic children in their study exhibited problems with attention. All were boys, who have higher rates of both Autism and ADHD.
The researchers say the children may benefit from ADHD treatments, even if they aren't making progress with Autism therapies.
