The case against 26-year-old Steven Smith is moving forward. A new court date has been set for Jan. 12, 2010. Last month, Smith pled not guilty to charges he shot a pregnant woman in her Paso Robles home.

Smith is charged with attempted murder, attempted premeditated murder of a fetus, and first degree burglary. The defense tells KSBY Smith did not shoot anyone on Nov. 6. He was allegedly involved with the victim, and was also engaged to a different woman.
