Officials say one man was arrested Friday night after leading police on a lengthy car chase through Santa Maria.
It happened just before 11 p.m.
According to police reports, a Santa Maria Police Officer noticed a car traveling without any lights on Stowell Road, just west of College Drive.
The officer tried to stop the driver, but he sped off.
Police later identified the driver as 20-year-old Tyler Thompson.
Thompson led police down several streets in Santa Maria and then began heading toward Guadalupe.
Thompson eventually lost control of his car and struck an embankment, causing his car to roll several times.
Officers approached the car and found Thompson, his 20-year-old girlfriend, Flor Navarro, and their two-year-old child in the car.
The child was safely fastened in a child safety seat. The child was taken to a local hospital, but quickly released.
Thompson and his girlfriend were taken to the hospital for moderate injuries.
Thompson was released form the hospital and arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.
Officials say he had two outstanding felony warrants. He was also booked for felony evading and felony child endangerment.
Flor was admitted to the hospital, but she may also face felony child endangerment charges.
