A local fire station opened up their doors on Saturday to benefit others in the community.
An open house and toy drive was held at the San Luis Obispo County Fire Station 14 Morro-Toro in Atascadero.
Participants were asked to bring non-perishable food, or new and unwrapped toys that will be given to children in child protective services in San Luis Obispo County.
Volunteer Firefighter Adrick Zayha says,"It's the holiday season. Everybody is helping everybody out and it's self satisfaction to help those in need that are less fortunate."
Zayha says all of the firefighters at that station brought gifts to donate.
