SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The world's largest trade show for outdoor gear and clothing is showing off the latest trends..

The Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City features 1,000 manufacturers displaying the latest in equipment and fashions before they hit the mainstream.

Companies like Mountain Hardwear, Patagonia and K2 are taking orders from retailers for next year's inventory.

New products range from sunglasses with magnetic pop-out lenses to a line of sleeping bags with a roomy hourglass shape. Another company has a thermo-electric camp stove that does double duty boiling water and charging electronic devices.

Salt Lake City-based Black Diamond held an invitation-only fashion show late Thursday for the company's first jackets and pants.

The expo ends Saturday after a four-day stretch at the Salt Palace convention hall.
