Highway 1, south of Big Sur, will be closed overnight because of a major rock slide that happened on Sunday.

The Highway is closed in two locations at Partington Ridge Road and Lucia.

Cal Trans say it will open one lane at 8 a.m., 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday.

To get around the slow traffic and closures you can take Highways 68, 101, 46 and Nacimiento Fergusson Road.
