Paso Robles and Righetti both entered Tuesday night's dual in Santa Maria, 4-0 in the Pac-7. Seven Righetti forfeits pretty much ended the match up before it started, the Bearcats won 58-18 to improve to 11-0 on the season.
The main event was at 152 pounds. Righetti's Luke Wilson and Paso Robles' Kevan Garcia squared off. Both seniors made it to the state tournament last year, Wilson is ranked second in the state. Wilson was up on points 5-2 in the first round when he scored the pinfall to earn the Warriors six points.
Stuart Malm at 132 pounds and Eric Santos at 145 also won by pinfall for Righetti. The Warriors needed to win all seven matches wrestled because of the seven forfeits. One of the weight classes was a double-forfeit.
In the four other matches, Paso Robles won three by pin and one on points. Robbie Standley won on points at 120 pounds. Trevor Torres at 126, Zack Holmes at 138 and Colton Madrigal at 182 won matches for the Bearcats with pins.
Both teams have one more league dual before the Pac-7 Tournament.
