A local elementary school was locked down for nearly 15 minutes Thursday after the Paso Robles Police Department received a report of a gunshot in the area.

Investigators say Speck Elementary School was locked down at 11:36 a.m. The California Highway Patrol sent out a helicopter to search the area. After a search, there was nothing found to indicate that a gun had been fired near the campus.

The lockdown was lifted at 11:50 a.m.
