Paso Robles' Wilson-Murry named State Star of the Week by Cal-Hi Sports

Paso Robles High guard Josh Wilson-Murry is honored for his impressive return to the court. The junior guard was one of 42 boys basketball players recognized as State Stat Stars of the Week by Cal-Hi Sports on Friday.

Wilson-Murry made 8 three-pointers in his first game of the season to lead the Bearcats to a 59-52 win over undefeated Roseville in the first round of Atascadero High's Christmas Tournament in late December. He finished with 30 points and 5 assists in his first game of the season.

He followed it up with a 6 three-pointers, 29 points and 6 assists in the Bearcats' 66-60 win over Montclair. Wilson-Murry added 20 points in a 68-58 loss to Atascadero in the championship game. He finished averaging 26 points per game in the three-day tournament.

Earlier in the season Cal-Hi Sports named Mission Prep's Connor Woolpert and Atascadero's Robbie Berwick State Stars of the Week for their efforts in Arroyo Grande High's Tournament.
