Police report second robbery at the Lexington Inn in San Luis Obispo

The San Luis Obispo Police Department says a second robbery took place at the Lexington Inn in San Luis Obispo Saturday night.

At around 8:50 p.m., they received a call about an armed robbery. According to police reports, an unknown male wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask entered the inn and approached the front desk clerk.

The man was armed with a black semi-auto handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He fled the scene after the clerk gave him money.

San Luis Obispo Police responded and checked the surrounding area, but were unable to find the man.

He is described as a white male, about 19 or 20 years old, around 5'6" and very thin.

No injuries were reported.

This is the second robbery at the Lexington Inn in the past week. Another robbery happened on Thursday. The description of the robber in both cases is very similar, but police don't know if the robberies are related.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about either robbery, San Luis Obispo Police ask that you contact them or Crime Stoppers.

The Lexington Inn is located at 2050 Garfield Street near Highway 101.
