We are already starting to turn the corner in weather from clouds to a dramatically warmer pattern.
A large upper level high pressure system backs in from the east Wednesday through Friday bringing a significant warming trend and I think it'll be here for a while, not just through the weekend but also likely through next weekend.
Temperatures will be well above normal across inland areas beginning with near record or record highs possible in some areas (100-110), coastal valleys likely in the 80s to 90s and beaches in the 70s and 80s however if the marine layer shrinks or during maximum northerly flow those temps could even be warmer at the coast.
This raises all kinds of weather concerns: higher fire risk, heat safety for people and animals and water management. Please stay with KSBY.com for additional coverage.
