Rain and mountain snow expected across the region tonight through Sunday night.

There's an upper level low pressure system developing off the coast of northern and central California. This system is expected to bring light to moderate amounts of precipitation with snow at rather low elevations (4,000 to 3,500 feet).

Thunderstorms are a possibility on Sunday due to the cold and unstable air.

Rainfall totals for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties for the next 24 hours are expected to range between one quarter and three quarters of an inch.

An offshore flow will bring drier and slightly warmer weather for Tuesday and Wednesday, but another cool down is in the forecast for late next week.

Have a great weekend!
