It's a chance for the tech-savvy to get their ideas before investors. The San Luis Obispo County Economic Vitality Corporation (EVC) and Cal Poly invite all entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, and students to attend the third annual TechPitch competition. It happens next Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo.
At the event, eight teams will pitch their technology-related business ideas to a panel of industry experts and investors. One winner will be chosen to receive follow-up services, contacts, and opportunities from affiliate organizations. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the Viewers' Choice Award.
The event is put on by the Cal Poly Small Business Development Center for Innovation, Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the Economic Vitality Corporation, Softec, and the Business & Entrepreneurship Center at Cuesta College.
If you want to attend, you need to register by the end of the day tomorrow, October 18th. Registration is required. Tickets are $59 a person, $400 for a table of eight, and $29 for students. For more information and to register, click here or call Judy Mahan, assistant director of the Cal Poly SBDC for Innovation, at 805-756-5171.
