Reid finishes 6th at NACAC

Former Cal Poly runner and current Arroyo Grande High School assistant coach Phillip Reid finished sixth at the North America, Central America, Caribbean Cross Country Championships in Mandeville, Jamaica. Reid ran the 8 Kilometer race in 25:21, he was 35 seconds behind the winner of the senior men's race. Reid finished behind two runners from the United States, two from Canada and one from Mexico.

The meet that included eight countries was Reid's third time representing the United States.

The former Cal Poly Male Athlete of the Year was a two-time Big West Conference cross country champion.
