Righetti improved to 8-0 in the Pac-7 with a 64-58 win at Arroyo Grande on Friday night. The win gives the Warriors a 2 1/2 game lead on St. Joseph and Atascadero, they are now 4 games up on the Eagles. Arroyo Grande won the League title last year.
Righetti sophomore Cam Walker scored 19 points. Senior point guard Marcus McMorris was a commanding floor general for the Warriors. McMorris made some big defensive plays and scored 16 points, 13 of them in the second half. Sophomore Landon Brown scored 15 points, making five of five three pointers.
Matt Wilkomm led Arroyo Grande with 21 points, Cobe Williams chipped in with 16 for the Eagles who were ahead 31-30 at the half.
Righetti improves to 12-9 overall, Arroyo Grande drops to 15-7. The Warriors host St. Joseph (5-2) on Wednesday, the Eagles play at Pioneer Valley (1-7) on Wednesday.
