A teacher at Rincon High School in Carpinteria was arrested at the high school on Wednesday on suspicion of felony sexual battery and misdemeanor child molestation. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says the charges stem from an investigation into the alleged inappropriate touching of a student. Michael George Carey, 41, is being held at county jail. Bail is set at $25,000. He has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
