Robinsons power Eagles to 8-2 league win over Atascadero

The Robinson sisters powered Arroyo Grande High softball to a 8-2 win over defending Pac 7 League champion Atascadero on Thursday. The Eagles evened their league mark to 2-2 and 4-7 on the season. The Greyhounds fell to 1-2 in league and 6-5 overall.

The Greyhounds struck first on a run-scoring double to the right center field wall by McKenzi Etchison that scored Keara Blodget in the bottom of the first inning.

Atascadero starting pitcher Alese Dominguez stranded two runners on base in the first and left them loaded in the second. However, Jessie Robinson cleared the bases with a three-run home run over the left field wall in the top of the third to give Arroyo Grande the lead for good.

Jordan Robinson added a 2-run double to give AG a 6-2 lead later in the game.

Rebecca Hernandez earned the win in the circle for the Eagles.
