Santa Maria Police asking public for help identifying burglary suspect

Santa Maria Police are asking the public for help identifying a burglary suspect.

Back in March, a woman had her purse stolen from her car at a car wash in the 2100 block of South Bradley Road.

A suspicious man had been seen near her car sitting in a dark colored vehicle.

Just 30 minutes after the theft, a man entered the 7-11 store on the corner of Stowell and Broadway roads. That man used the victim's credit card.

The 7-11 store was equipped with surveillance video.

Officials were able to determine that the man was driving a newer model, dark green colored Honda Accord, four-door vehicle.

He appeared to be a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5'10", weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, and possibly in his early thirties.

He wears glasses, and he had a goatee at the time of the theft.

He was also wearing an Oakland Raiders jacket.

If you have any information on this crime, please call the Santa Maria Police Department.

You can call the station's Watch Commander at (805) 928-3781, ext. 297, or you can call the station's Dispatch number at ext. 277.

Tips can be made anonymously.
